On March 24, Raver toured the media to promote a new Grey’s Anatomy Episode of the 17th season that will dive into the traumas of Teddy’s past. So, when talking to E! News, the actor revealed that he wanted to see Teddy and Cristina together again.
“For Teddy and Cristina to be able to have scenes together again would be incredible,” said Raver. “I have to be very careful with the way I speak because I don’t want to reveal anything.”
Raver also spoke about the return of the cast members in Grey’s Anatomy Season 17. “But I will say that it is just incredible to have the cast members who were here before they came back,” she said. “I think we all feel connected and [like] family.”

Now, Grey’s Anatomy fans will have to wait to see if Cristina and Teddy will be reunited in the future. But Oh hinted that she wouldn’t be back when she spoke to Entertainment Tonight Canada in October 2020.
“People continue to invest and become interested in Cristina Yang, who is a character I left six years ago. I am very grateful for that ”, said Oh when asked if she would return to the Grey’s Anatomy end of Series. “There are so many new projects, and I’m a different person. So, I would have to say no. “

Despite Oh’s comments about going back to Grey’s Anatomy, some fans still hope to see Cristina soon, especially as circumstances have changed. Cristina’s person, Meredith Gray (Ellen Pompeo), recently contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19). Many viewers are also concerned that Teddy – who was Cristina’s mentor – will Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, Episode 9.
That said, Cristina’s return to Grey’s Anatomy it’s still possible, even if Oh doesn’t come back to shoot new scenes. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada on March 18, Kevin McKidd (who plays Owen Hunt) revealed that the Teddy-centered episode will include flashbacks from previous seasons.
“The episode I’m directing – which is episode 9 – I’m really excited,” said McKidd. “This goes a long way for previous episodes and flashbacks linked to Teddy. So, I’m starting to revisit. It’s a little disconcerting because I’m seeing scenes from Season 6, which was 11 years ago. … But it’s really fun to go back and look at the first few episodes. “
Grey’s Anatomy Season 6 was Teddy’s first, and the character’s arc was closely intertwined with Owen and Cristina’s stories. Thus, it is possible that Cristina is in one of these flashbacks. But for now, it’s just a theory. So stay tuned.
