Kanye West’s dream of becoming president of the United States soured her marriage to Kim Kardashian, according to a new report.
West, 43, surprised Americans on July 4, 2020, when he announced his candidacy for president. Shortly afterwards, West’s public comments and the triggering of revelations about his family on Twitter generated several reports that the couple was on the verge of divorce.
Page six – which raised the alarm about Kardashian preparing for divorce earlier this week – now reports that it was indeed West’s last-minute campaign that made her reflect on their future with more scrutiny.
A source told the channel that Kardashian, 40, “needed to end the marriage for the sake of her children and her own sanity.”

The rapper’s presidential candidacy “Power” was simply the last straw for Kardashian, the source explained.

Meanwhile, a second source said that Kardashian was opposed from the start: “She never spoke publicly and endorsed him. Her silence about it said it all.”
West made headlines early in his campaign, starting with his first campaign rally in South Carolina in July, leaving Kardashian “furious” after he told a crowd that the couple once considered aborting their first child, daughter North, 7.
West continued to state that she has been “trying” to divorce the “Keeping up with the Kardashians” star since 2018, after she attended a prison reform event also in the presence of rapper Meek Mill. Yeezy’s designer also shadowed Kardashian’s former Playboy broadcast and called the mother of reality star Kris Jenner “Kim Jong-Un” and said she was no longer allowed to see her children. He later issued a public apology to Kardashian.
Concerns about West’s mental health increased, with the hashtag #PrayforYe becoming a trend on Twitter over the summer. It was then that Kardashian broke the silence about her husband’s bipolar disorder for the first time, asking the public for compassion.

The first source said Kardashian was “really supportive” of West’s mental health journey. But she also “knows she has to do the right thing for her children”.

The vehicle reported that Kardashian hired well-known divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. On Tuesday, Kardashian declared that she is looking after herself in a social media post that promised she was “getting body and mind right” for 2021.
The news that Kardashian is seriously considering divorce came in the wake of the announcement that she had sold a 20% stake in her company to Coty for $ 200 million.

Kardashian has not yet filed for divorce from West, and a source told People magazine on Wednesday that the mother of four is trying to “stay positive” for the sake of the couple’s children: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 2 , and sons Santo, 5 and Psalm, who turns 2 in May.
“December was a difficult month for Kim. She has been living apart from Kanye. During the holidays, it was difficult for her to remain positive,” a separate source revealed to People magazine Wednesday. “She’s been trying her best, though, for the kids. She stayed in Los Angeles for the New Year [Eve]. Kourtney and Khloé [Kardashian] were around to support her. She is very grateful to have her sisters to support her. “
Rumors have circulated that Kardashian has already started dating other men, but a source told Page Six that she is not “dating anyone”.

While many eyes are now on Kardashian as the separation is approaching, the source added that there is no “war” between the couple. They are also already in marriage counseling and Kardashian has not officially filed for divorce papers.
West and Kardashian were married in May 2014 in Italy.
