Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are giving their children the necessary stability during divorce … they are keeping their 4 children in the only house they have ever known.
Sources close to the ex-couple told TMZ … that the plan is for Kim to take the family home to Hidden Hills as part of the divorce.
It is an interesting decision for several reasons. Kanye designed the house … it is quite spectacular, although very austere – almost like a museum. You might think that Kanye would like to keep the house, since it is a multi-year passion project of him, but the fact is that Kanye has no real ties to this area. On the other hand, the majority of Kim’s family lives within a block of her, in the same community, and the family is important to children in the middle of divorce.
We were also told that Kim really likes the house, so it’s not like she wants to move and move.
It is unclear where Kanye will set up his permanent residence, but it is no secret that Wyoming has practically become your home over the past few years … this is where he has a huge ranch, and where he changed his Yeezy brand.
TMZ revealed the story … Kim asked for a divorce Kanye last month, after almost 7 years of marriage, and we were told that the separation is amicable.
As we said first … Kim is asking joint legal and physical custody of the children, and Ye is fine with the joint custody agreement and the two are committed to co-parenting. Joint custody does not necessarily mean a 50/50 split – it may be what the parents agree, and Kim hopes to continue looking after the children most of the time … in Hidden Hills.
