Kevin HartKev’s personal shopper took the title very literally, according to prosecutors … who say the guy cheated Kev by more than a million dollars.
Dylan Syer was in a New York court on Wednesday for his charge of theft and 9 other charges … after he allegedly used Kevin’s credit card information to launder money in his own account and then burn it it.
GIVES Melinda Katz says Syer built trust with Kevin when he was hired in 2015 by making legitimate and authorized purchases on Kevin’s behalf. However, Katz claims that Syer has started to embezzle hundreds of thousands of credit cards from Hart, depositing the money in his own bank account.
He also wasn’t saving up for a rainy day – Syer reportedly spent a lot on himself. Altogether, prosecutors say Kevin has been defrauded by nearly $ 1.2 million in almost 2 years. Much of this was supposedly used to buy expensive jewelry, watches, artwork, collectibles and luxury handbags.
The prosecutor said the Syer acquisition included 5 Patek Philippe watches worth more than $ 400,000, an Sam Friedman painting, at least 16 Bearbrick collectible dolls, 5 KAWS collectible dolls and 2 Louis Vuitton bags.
Prosecutors are trying to seize all the booty that Syer allegedly bought, so they recover Kevin’s money.
