EXCLUSIVE: Deadline learned this morning that Netflix closed a long-term pact to be the creative home on the film side for Kevin Hart and his HartBeat Productions. The exclusive partnership predicts that Hart will be the star of at least four films he will produce, with an initial film production deal also part of the pact. It is a great commitment for the star and the streamer. The last time Netflix made such a big cinematic commitment to a comic book star was renewed with Adam Sandler.
Netflix confirmed Hart’s deal until the Deadline. Hart comes to have Netflix’s # 1 comedy special in 2020, and Hart’s films have grossed more than $ 4 billion accumulated at the global box office.

Hart’s latest stand-up special Zero F * cks Given was Netflix’s # 1 comedy special in 2020; more than 21 million accounts chose to watch in the first four weeks after its debut. Hart was also featured in the 2019 biographical documentation Kevin Hart: No F * ck That.
