O Marvel Studios schedule was significantly shaken when the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) hit, forcing theatrical releases like Black Widow next year, and revamping the release dates for the long-awaited Disney + series as WandaVision, Lokiand Falcon and the Winter Soldier. But when we approach the debut of Marvel’s first project in a long time – WandaVision at Disney + – Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed plans for Marvel’s upcoming films, as cinemas and major markets remain closed amid the pandemic.
In an interview with Deadline, Feige talked about the difference between streaming and theatrical projects, and how he wasn’t concerned with the appearance of Disney + programs. WandaVision, Loki, and others would impact theatrical releases. “Finding something interesting and unique to watch at home and eventually going back to the cinema is how we get away, it’s how we learn and it’s how we grew up,” said Feige.
And when does Feige expect the audience to return to the cinema? The next movie release is still Black Widow, which was initially set to start Marvel Phase 4 in May 2020. Black Widow is still on its way to launch in its new May 7, 2021 date, Feige confirmed.
“Don’t ask me week after week what is going to happen in this world, I have no idea and I don’t want to guess. Feige also gave an update on Black Panther 2 after the tragic passing of the star Chadwick Boseman. Feige had previously rejected speculation that T’Challa would be overhauled, and further stated that the film will not “have a CG Chadwick and we are not overhauling T’Challa”. But the sequel will “promote Wakanda’s mythology and inspiration,” said Feige:

It is not yet clear how Black Panther it will go on without its star, but it is encouraging that the film honors Boseman’s legacy. A not-so-encouraging statement from Feige: his constant cunning when it comes to questions about canceled Netflix shows, like Reckless or Jessica Jones.
“I’ve been at Marvel long enough to never say anything about anything,” said Feige, repeating his vague statements about Marvel TV that – before you got really excited – never came to anything before.
