Kevin Costner’s National Parks drama about NPS agents who solve crimes is sent to pilot by ABC
His Paramount Network series, Yellowstone, is a huge success.
And now Kevin Costner has taken advantage of the National Parks of America in another series, this time for ABC.
The network commissioned a pilot for the drama co-written by Costner along with Aaron Helbing (The Flash) and Jon Baird, THR.com reported Monday.

The program is called National Parks and is centered on a team of elite NPS agents charged with solving crimes that occur within the boundaries of federally owned open spaces.
Costner will also be the executive producer of the drama, while Helbing will be the showrunner.
Meanwhile, Yellowstone is now in his fourth season with Costner starring as John Dutton, the patriarch of a powerful Montana family of farmers.
Filming for the fourth season took place in Montana last year under strict COVID-19 protocols.

The Oscar-winning actor told the LA Times last year that he never intended to remain in the western series when he signed.
‘There would be 10 episodes, it was going to end there,’ he explained.
But, he added, the quality of the material and the fact that the show ‘was wonderfully well received’ kept him invested in the story.
