KeShawn Toney being transferred from South Carolina

The NCAA Transfer Portal claimed another South Carolina football player. Tight end KeShawn Toney entered his name on the NCAA Transfer Portal, indicating his intentions to transfer from the South Carolina football program.

Toney, who just completed his second year of eligibility with Gamecocks, played four games like a real freshman and played five more in 2020. His attacking action came as a reserve in both seasons, with much of it coming from special teams .

Toney, who was a selection from the Williston-Elko High School Shrine Bowl, signed with Gamecocks on offers from Charlotte, Georgia State, Middle Tennessee State and South Carolina State. The three-star prospect, which had a rating of 0.8689 on 247sports Composite coming out of high school, was recruited by a former tight end coach Pat Washington.
