Kenny Rogers’ wife, Wanda, pays tribute to the late country music icon a year after his death

It’s been a year since the tragic death of country music icon Kenny Rogers.

And on Saturday, his wife Wanda Miller Rogers posted an emotional tribute to her late husband on Instagram, sharing a selection of family photos.

‘A year ago … our lives changed forever … but as KR always said …’ you will never leave until you are forgotten ‘.. ♥ ️ we will always love you,’ the widow captioned the photo album .

Wanda included a retrograde portrait of Kenny hugging his twin sons Jordan and Justin, as well as a moving photo of the family paying homage to the deceased star’s coffin during a memorial service.

Rogers died of natural causes at his home in Sandy Springs, in northern Fulton County, Georgia, at the age of 81.

‘Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes in the care of a hospice and surrounded by his family,’ read his family’s testimony at the time.
