AEW world champion Kenny Omega defeated Impact world champion Rich Swann during tonight’s Hard to Kill main event.
Omega defeated Swann in a six-man doubles match, with Omega partnering with The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallow), while Swann partnered with Chris Sabin and Moose. The submission had Swann scoring nearfalls, one after a splash of 450, but Omega ended the fight after cutting Swann and immobilizing him with One Winged Angel.
The match was originally scheduled to feature Swann’s partnership with the Machine City machine guns. However, it was announced on Friday that Alex Shelley would not be able to travel to Nashville for the show due to unavoidable circumstances. He said he didn’t have COVID-19.
Omega has appeared on Impact Wrestling regularly since winning the AEW World Championship at AEW Winter is Coming on December 2, aligning himself with Impact Executive Vice President Don Callis.
Impact announced ahead of the main event that the next pay-per-view, Rebellion, would take place on April 24th.
