Ken Jennings trolled by ‘Jeopardy!’ competitor, fans react

Ken Jennings took over as interim host for “Jeopardy!” after the death of Alex Trebek, but in the Tuesday night episode, he was chased by a competitor.

During the final “Jeopardy!” round, leading competitor Brian Chang answered a question with an incorrect answer that was a burn for Jennings.

The category was travel business, and the tip was: “Adjusted for inflation, the nightly rate this company put on its behalf in 1962 is now $ 51.”

The correct answer was, “What is Motel 6?” but, instead, Chang wrote, “What is H&R Block?”

In 2004, Jennings’ famous 74-game winning streak in “Jeopardy!” came to an end when he gave the wrong answer, which was also H&R Block.

“I know from experience that H&R Block is sometimes the right answer, but not today,” Jennings told Chang. “Even if you brought some bad memories to me, you will still be coming home with $ 13,201.”

“Lol, the winner of Jeopardy today, instead of going for the obvious correct answer (Motel 6) decided to respond with H&R Block to roast Ken Jennings,” I wrote A fan.

“Brian chasing @KenJennings with his Final Jeopardy response” H&R Block “was worth losing some money! Ken’s response was perfect. #Jeopardy,” said other.

“I sincerely approve of Ken Jennings’ chase with H&R Block,” joked someone.

The iconic game show lost its longtime emcee in November after he died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 80 years old.

The Emmy winner was the host of “Jeopardy!” since 1984, presiding over 8,000 episodes.

Until a permanent presenter is announced by Sony Pictures Television, which produces the program, interim presenters were announced by “Jeopardy!” producers.

“Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers, Bill Whitaker and Mayim Bialik will take their turn as guest hosts for Jeopardy! As part of each guest host’s presentation, a donation will be made to a charity of your choice,” the program official Twitter account said on Wednesday.
