Ken Jennings Bids ‘Jeopardy!’ Farewell With Alex Trebek Salute, reveals new guest hosts

Friday’s show marked the last Danger! guest presenter Ken Jennings, the first replacement since the death of longtime moderator Alex Trebek.

Trebek was not forgotten when Jennings’ passage came to an end.

Longer term

“It’s the end of my six weeks of hosting as a guest on @Jeopardy,” wrote Jennings in a tweet. “Thanks for watching, thanks for your patience with a difficult learning curve … and, as always, thanks Alex.”

Trebek died on November 8, and the Jeopardy! Champion Jennings was the first of several presenters invited to take over the question and answer program while looking for a permanent replacement.

Future guest hosts include Danger! executive producer Mike Richards, journalist and author Katie Couric, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, 60 minutes Correspondent Bill Whitaker and actress and neuroscientist / actress Mayim Bialik.

It’s goodbye, but not goodbye to Jennings, 46, who will serve as a consultant producer on the show. He revealed in a tweet on Friday that the guest hosts of the future include Dr. Oz, NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

Jennings set the record for the longest winning streak in the game’s history. His 74 consecutive wins earned him $ 2.52 million. He won the Danger! The best of all time tournament in 2020.

Best of time
