Kelly Clarkson tells Gwyneth Paltrow that she does not plan to remarry after Brandon Blackstock’s divorce

Kelly Clarkson revealed that she has no plans to remarry after her difficult divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June, citing “irreconcilable differences” after almost seven years of marriage. Since the wedding in 2013, the couple have had two children together, daughter River, 6, and son Remington Alexander, 4. The presenter of the daytime talk show has been open about the struggle she’s going through in the middle of the breakup.

Speaking with Gwyneth Paltrow at “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earlier this week, the duo discussed the wedding. Specifically, Clarkson asked the actress about her decision to tie the knot with TV producer Brad Falchuck in 2018, after divorcing Coldplay singer Chris Martin in 2014.

“You have been married for two years,” Kelly said in the interview. “Coming from someone who is literally in the process of divorce, I can’t even imagine doing it again. It’s amazing that you found love and found space and vulnerability – that level of saying yes and doing it again. Difficult for you?”

Paltrow responded by noting that getting married again was “probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done”. However, she said that the divorce and the lagged years between the marriage allowed her to reflect and learn what she needed from herself and a partner to make a second marriage work.

“You will have it again, Kelly. It takes time,” she added.

Despite believing that she will never walk down the corridor again, Clarkson relied on her guest’s advice on learning lessons about herself after the divorce.

“Actually, I’m in that place where I think a lot of people, I heard, who go through divorce, it’s almost like you start dating yourself again, like you really have time for you again, and I love dating with me, “Kelly explained. “I’m not really looking for that, actually.”

KELLY CLARKSON SAYS THAT IT’S WRITTEN ’60 SONGS ‘AMONG BRANDON’S BLACKSTOCK

Clarkson has been vocal and outspoken in his past on his breakup show. She noted earlier that the “most difficult” part of the whole situation is trying to maintain their respective relationships with their children.

However, according to People, the singer and talk show host received primary custody of the children in an effort to provide stability in the children’s lives. Blackstock, a talent manager, plans to live in Montana while Clarkson continues to work and live in Los Angeles.

In court documents obtained by the media, the court ruled that “the level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have difficulty co-parenting due to issues of trust between them”.

As a result, Blackstock will be allowed to visit children in Los Angeles, as well as video chat with them every day at a pre-arranged time. In addition, the children will spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their father and from December 19 until Christmas at 2 pm as well. Meanwhile, Clarkson bought them that afternoon until the end of the New Year holiday.
