Keanu Reeves’ Mod Sex ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Removal

CD Projekt Red has removed a fan-made mod that lets your character have sex with Johnny Silverhand by Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077.

Since the game’s launch, many players have created mods for their different features, ranging from changing the game interface and minimap to weather conditions, but it didn’t take long before the modders reached the hottest parts of the game involving NPCs like sex workers, or what you call “joytoys”. Some players took this mod and traded several NPC models for Johnny Silverhand, allowing them to sleep with Reeves’ own character. Naturally, CD Projekt Red was not very happy about it and has since withdrawn the mod.

“Our most important rule regarding user-generated content, game mods in particular, is that it cannot be harmful to others,” wrote CD Projekt Red in a statement to PC Gamer. “In the case of model changes, especially those involving explicit situations, it can be perceived as such by the people who lent us their appearance for the purpose of creating characters in Cyberpunk 2077.”

The company went on to say that, as inventors of the game, they “will largely allow you to play at will and just have fun”, but modders should refrain from using models of any real person in potentially offensive ways without their explicit permission.

Elsewhere in the game, a Fifteen days dataminer has released a heat map indicating where most deaths occur on the game map.
