Breaking news
3:06 pm Pacific Time – Robinson just shared an update on his status … saying he does NOT have COVID-19, he just had a close contact.
“All of my tests were negative!” Robinson said on Instagram on Monday. “I will be practicing Friday after finishing the protocol.”
Waiting for your permission to upload Instagram media.
“See you at the Super Bowl.”
Good news for the Kansas City Chiefs … two players were placed on the Reserve / COVID-19 list because of “close contact” with someone whose test was positive.
Players are wide receiver Demarcus Robinson and center Daniel Kilgore, according to the Chiefs’ coach Andy Reid.
Moments ago, Reid told the media that he is confident that the players will “get over it” – but obviously cannot guarantee that they will play in Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Kilgore started 4 games in 2020 and played 7 in total. Robinson started 9 games in 2020 and played in all 16 games of the regular season.
Both guys played in the AFC Championship game on January 24 against Buffalo Bills – with Robinson getting the initial wave at WR.
The way the NFL’s COVID protocol works … both players will be forced to quarantine for 5 days, meaning there will be no more practice for the rest of the week.
If they continue with the negative test, there is a chance they will play in the Super Bowl – but from ESPN Adam Schefter says at the moment when your status is “in question”.
None of the players returned a positive COVID test at this point, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Obviously, the biggest concern is … have any other players been exposed?
We spoke to the Chiefs superstar Tyreek Hill recently, who told us that the team had been repressing in COVID protocols to avoid this exact situation.
