Katy Perry wore her iconic black hair during an appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, although she later admitted it was ‘fake’.

The 36-year-old singer accessed Instagram before appearing on the show, sharing several photos and videos of dark hair and her stylish Dundas dress.

She also tagged makeup artist Michael Anthony, stylist Tatiana Waterford and hairdresser Jesus Guerrero in the post, before admitting it was fake in her Instagram story.

Perry appeared on Live With Kelly and Ryan on Monday, wearing the same striped top from his Instagram story.

She revealed on the daytime talk show that she started working on the filming of American Idol shortly after giving birth to her daughter Daisy, who was born in late August.

“I started shooting American Idol season 4 after giving birth, five weeks later,” she told presenters Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa.
