Kathryn Limbaugh updates after her late husband Rush Limbaugh lay down to rest

Kathryn Limbaugh, the widow of conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh, is talking about the funeral that was held in honor of her husband and his plans for the future.

Rush Limbaugh was buried on February 24 in St. Louis, where a small private ceremony was held. Limbuagh, 70, died on February 17 of complications from lung cancer.

Appearing on her eponymous radio show on Tuesday, Kathryn Limbaugh updated her listeners on how she is handling her husband’s passing.

“It’s a difficult time, but I’m fine and we’re going to get through this together,” said Limbaugh to guest presenter Todd Herman.

“We called the day of his death ‘the event’ to make it a little lighter. We planned the memorial service for a year. Rush laughed at the approaching event. The sun was shining brightly at the Missouri funeral home, not like the icy snow a week before. “

“In my view, Rush was just shy with a president,” added Kathryn. “There will be pictures of the horse-drawn carriage with us following behind. We had a small ceremony in the chapel of his favorite music. Then we went down to the cemetery. We prayed around Rush and played some of his favorite songs. It was absolutely stunning with a beautiful oak over Rush with the sun shining on it. ”

“I will continue with Rush Revere books and audio,” said Limbaugh. “To keep the movement alive, just think about what Rush would say and do. I have your wedding ring and a cross on a chain around my neck, keeping it with me every day, every moment. Rush didn’t know after which EIB Show that he would follow God’s plan to return to Heaven. He went in peace. Yes, he was greeted by many when he returned home. “

Limbaugh added to Herman, “I will be back at EIB as often as you like.”

Rush Limbaugh learned he had stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and received President Donald Trump’s Presidential Medal of Freedom in his State of the Union address a few days later. First Lady Melania Trump presented America’s greatest civilian tribute to Limbaugh in the Chamber’s observation gallery.

“Rush Limbaugh: Thank you for your decades of tireless devotion to our country,” said President Trump during the speech.
