“I know that there is a better way to deal with these things than me.”
Katherine Heigl is taking a look at his departure from “Grey’s Anatomy”.
In an interview with People, the actress – who starred as Dr. Izzie Stevens in ABC’s medical drama from 2005 to 2010 – admitted that she could have handled her departure from the series differently.

“I know there is a better way to deal with these things than I do,” said Heigl. “I could have handled this with more grace.”
However, the “27 Dresses” star said he did not regret his decision to leave the show.
“I did the right thing for me and my family, but I regret the drama I was feeling at the time,” said Heigl, who moved to Utah with his daughter after she left the series. “If I knew anything about meditation at the time, or were talking to a therapist or someone to help me with some of the fear that was immersed in me, I think I would have been more calm about how to approach the limits I needed to create to thrive. “
“I certainly regret not having learned how to control my anxiety earlier,” she continued. “Living at that high level of anxiety … created a defensive attitude in me and caution and assuming people were against me. I let my mind run wild without the tools to manage it properly.”
Publicly, it seemed to start when she withdrew her name from Emmy consideration a year after winning the “Grays” award.
“I didn’t think I received the material this season to justify an Emmy nomination,” she said in a statement at the time.
A year later, she complained about her 17-hour working day in the hit medical drama during an interview on “The Late Show with David Letterman”.

Despite everything that has happened, Heigl said he is “grateful” for his time in the ABC drama, calling it a “really extraordinary experience”.
“[It] taught me that no matter how big an opportunity or how rewarding something is, there will be moments of struggle, “she explained to People.” There will be difficulties, disappointments and communication failures, but you must learn how to manage them with grace. of fear.”
“When I look back on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, a lot of that was a really extraordinary experience,” she added. “Sometimes it feels like a dream, all of us together like that. I am grateful for all of this – and I am very grateful to have grown up enough to allow it to teach me something.”
When asked if she would consider returning to the show – which is known for bringing characters back – Heigl told People, “Never say never.”
