Kate Winslet reveals that her father Roger received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine

Kate Winslet’s father took the COVID-19 vaccination.

The 45-year-old Titanic actress revealed that her father, Roger Winslet, 81, received his ‘first dose’ of the vaccine, and she is relieved to learn that he has some protection against respiratory diseases.

Appearing on the WTF with Marc Maron Podcast, she said: ‘My father has been vaccinated, he is 81 years old, this is a great relief.

– He took his first dose. We will all have to wait our turn.

Although Kate has to wait, the star admitted that she already dreamed of receiving the vaccine alone.

She explained: ‘I dreamed that I was vaccinated and it didn’t work.

‘I dreamed that they had vaccinated, the needle had entered my arm, but only half of the vial had entered and they had removed the needle and the liquid was squirting at me and on the floor and then nobody seemed to know how to deal with it, to do.

“They didn’t know if they should vaccinate me only half a bottle, if they should just discount that one and do it all over again.

‘It was very anxious to do, because nobody knew what the protocol was and that is what I found very scary.’

Meanwhile, Kate, who starred in the 2011 thriller Contagion, revealed how she started preparing for the pandemic from the start.

‘People thought I was crazy because I was walking around [Philadelphia] wearing a mask for weeks, going to the supermarket and cleaning everything with isopropyl alcohol and wearing gloves, ‘she previously told The Hollywood Reporter.

‘Then, suddenly, March 13 came, and people were like,’ F ***, where can I get one of those masks? ”
