  • The day was special for the Cambridge family, as it marked the first time that Will and Kate’s two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, took part in the Christmas walk.

  • Kate dressed her children in lovely dark green outfits, but she admitted to a real fan who regretted her own choice of outfit for the day – a heavy gray Catherine Walker coat, green hat, bag and high heels.

Kate Middleton always looks amazing, but even she has days when she regrets clothes. One of those days was last Christmas, apparently.

Christmas 2019 was a great year for the Cambridge family. Not only did Prince William and Kate Middleton leave, along with the other members of royalty, for the royal family’s annual Christmas walk to attend religious service at St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, but their older children joined them. It was not the first time that Prince George and Princess Charlotte went to church at Christmas, of course, but it was the first time that they participated in the royal tradition of walking to the church accompanied by spectators for the first time.

Kate dressed Prince George and Princess Charlotte perfectly for the occasion. Both children wore beautiful coordinated dark green outfits, with George in a small, elegant suit and Charlotte in a green coat that looked like it had just come out of Kate’s closet.

Apparently, however, Kate was not a big fan of the look. Speaking to a 19-year-old real fan named Rachel Anvil, the Duchess of Cambridge said it was the wrong outfit for the day’s weather.

“Kate was talking to my daughter about clothes and as she was feeling very hot, she said ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this’,” said Rachel’s mother to Metro. “I’m over there talking to Charlotte about dolls and my daughter talking about fashion to Kate. It wasn’t fake, it was a genuine discussion, it lasted about a minute, but it was tailored for my daughter, it was like talking to a friend. They are totally different with the audience. “

To be fair, we’ve all been there.
