  • Kate Middleton and Prince William will not return to Kensington Palace after the holidays.

  • The Cambridges have decided to stay at Anmer Hall, Norfolk, while England enter a third block.

  • Prince George and Princess Charlotte will not be returning to school at Thomas’s Battersea in the near future.

For Kate Middleton and Prince William, the holiday season is over – and yet the Cambridges are not returning to Kensington Palace. England has just entered another blockade amid a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases, and Kate and William decided to stay at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, where they celebrated Christmas. According Mirror, the Cambridges have already resumed the home education of their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as they did in a significant part of 2020.

Kate and William will work in Anmer Hall, with the wider royal family to support charities and businesses throughout England’s third national blockade. “The family is committed to working together to help the country in the next phase of the crisis,” said a royal source. Mirror. “There are already plans to reach out to a variety of charities and businesses and, fortunately, they are well versed in the world of video calling now.”

George and Charlotte did not return to school at Thomas’s Battersea this week, although other children across England initially did so. Before the government announced on Monday that all schools would be closed across the country, London elementary schools were told not to reopen after the holidays. Now, students across the country are unlikely to return to school until at least February, according to the BBC.

Louis’s entry into formal education must also have been delayed by the closure of schools in England: Hi! reports, the youngest Cambridge was expected to start daycare (preschool) this month, following the guidelines of George and Charlotte, who started the daycare in January 2016 and 2018, respectively. Although day care centers have not been closed in England, Kate and William have not yet announced Louis’ enrollment, and with the Cambridges remaining at Anmer Hall, it seems unlikely that he will start anytime soon.
