The protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey defies death, living to be 2400+ years old and meaning that they are alive in AC Valhalla.
Very similar Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gives players a choice between two genres. However, there is one notable exception: both Assassin’s Creed OdysseyAlexios or Kassandra exist in the historical context. Kassandra is the canon Bearer of the Eagle, while Alexios is the canon Deimos. As such, Kassandra is the one who passes the Staff of Hermes to Layla, who lived up to 2400 years or more for that. SPOILERS AHEAD.
With Assassin’s Creed Valhalla occurring near the end of the 9th century and Kassandra having been born over 400 years BC, the latter would have approximately the mature age of 1300. She would be alive and agitated, so it is easy to imagine how she filled 2,400 years of life and, exactly in that period, where she was.

Odyssey BC: the Age of Cassandra and the Staff of Hermes
As Kassandra observes about Ikaros when meeting Layla Hassan in AC Odyssey, everyone Cassandra knew or loved had died long before her. This includes his brother Alexios, his mother, his adopted father, his beloved eagle Ikaros and many more. Even so, Kassandra lived in good health and on a mission thanks to the Staff of Hermes. This particular Piece of Eden is powerful in many ways, having played an important role in recent history. Take Kassandra to Layla, take Layla to Reader / Desmond, and get Assassin’s Creed Valhalla ‘s They are based on modern days.
Although the results of the last two have not yet been seen, Kassandra’s ending is clearly defined, but it is often the journey, not the destination, that matters. As a result, the world around Kassandra has changed and she with him, which means she has experienced a great deal of human history. This is not really explored, but it opens the opportunity for it to appear in other assassins Creed games. Unfortunately, it does not seem that Cassandra exists in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (but there is a bust of her in AC sources)
AC Valhalla: Waiting for the Heir to Memories
During this period, it is clear that Kassandra is waiting for the heir, but it is also clear that she has not sat with Aletheia in Atlantis for millennia. When she appears to Layla, she is wearing a suit that can indicate her activities up to this point. Well, that doesn’t mean that Kassandra was a businesswoman, but it does mean that she saw the world. It would have been interesting to see Cassandra appear somewhere AC Valhalla, even if it was some background character. This may have been avoided due to the mentioned choice of Kassandra / Alexios, but importing that information could have prevented this. Just choosing the canon could have worked, too.
There is no indication that Cassandra was ever involved with the Escondidos, but she could have been. She could be present in England at that time, she could still be in Greece, or she could really be anywhere. At 1300 years old, it is difficult to imagine that she remained in Greece. There is a possibility that she was somewhere, since transfiguring form is one of the team’s skills, but everything is up in the air now. It is possible that this is further explored with Assassin’s Creed Valhallanext DLC of.
After all, it seems likely that Kassandra is aware of the multitude of Assassin / Templar-like factions that have emerged over the years, and it looks like the Wrath of the Druids DLC will bring another: the Chidlren of Danu. Fans should probably not pay much attention to what is really going on. Still, it would be interesting to see Cassandra return to fight alongside Eivor or the protagonist of the next assassins Creed game, and the possibility of that has not gone anywhere.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now available for PC, PS5, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
