Kanye West’s Yeezy brand is suing a former intern for half a million dollars for allegedly sharing confidential company information on social media.
According to a report first published by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday (January 15), the Yeezy Company filed a complaint against Ryan Inwards at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday. The billion-dollar clothing brand accuses Inwards, which signed a confidentiality agreement by becoming an intern last summer, of posting non-public company images on Instagram. NDAs generally restrict one or more parties from disclosing confidential information through threats from lawsuits. The lawsuit continues claiming that the company sent Inwards several letters to cease and desist on disclosing the images, but he refused to remove them at the time.
The West company is reportedly suing Inwards for breach of contract and asking for $ 500,000 in damages and punishment. They are also asking a judge to force Inwards to hand over the images he owns and forbid him from posting similar images online.
