Kamala Harris and Bill Clinton to talk about the impact of the pandemic on women

Vice President Harris and former President Clinton will have a one-on-one conversation on Friday, as part of the 13th annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University, where they will discuss the effects of the pandemic on women.

The meeting, which is being held in partnership with Howard University, Harris’ alma mater, will feature “A face-to-face conversation with President Clinton and Vice President Kamala HarrisMorning report by Kamala HarrisThe Hill – Biden: Back to the future of immigration, Afghanistan, Iran Future of the Republican Party? The conversation is scheduled to start at 3:25 pm EDT.

The virtual meeting “will bring together 600 students from around the world who have pledged to act – new, specific and measurable initiatives that address urgent challenges,” wrote the Clinton Foundation.

The conference will explore topics on how to restore faith in democracy, environmental justice, COVID-19 recovery and creating systemic change, according to the Clinton Foundation.

The event, which will take place from Tuesday to Friday, is organized by former President Clinton, Chelsea Clinton and Howard University.

The Clinton Global Initiative University, launched in 2007, is a leadership development program run by the Clinton Foundation to “engage the next generation of leaders and is based on the belief that no one is too young to make a difference and create positive changes in their communities, ”according to the Clinton Foundation statement.
