Kaley Cuoco kept her Golden Globe non-acceptance speech very short.
“I would like to thank … never mind !!”, she posted on social media, with an emoji of the tongue, after Catherine O won the award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy ‘Hara for your work in Schitt’s Creek. Cuoco was nominated for a Golden Globe for the first time by the HBO Max program The flight attendant, in which she plays the title character. (Surprisingly, she continues Big Bang Theory won recognition elsewhere, but not at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which distributes the Globes.)
The funny photo that Cuoco shared showed her wearing a tiara while sitting on the floor with champagne and junk food: a half-eaten pizza, cupcakes and a traditional chocolate cake, plus macaroni and cheese. She pulled out her hair extensions and took off her heels.
Before the show, Cuoco shared a happier picture of herself – this one taken by stylist Brad Goreski – where her Oscar de la Renta dress was most visible.
Even without having won the trophy, Cuoco had an award day much happier than he expected, as her husband, Karl Cook, was at his side. On Saturday, she explained that he surprised her by returning home earlier than expected from an equestrian event.
“Many of you know that Karl was absent from WEF (Winter Equestrian Festival), a great circuit of equestrian events for many, many weeks and could not return to Globes tomorrow, but we had already talked about it and it was good because it is virtual and I didn’t want him to come back for this, “she explained on Instagram Stories. “Well, I just answered the door and he showed up.”
