Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jason Tartick positive test for COVID-19

Kaitlyn Bristowe and boyfriend Jason Tartick are the last stars to test positive for COVID-19.

On Thursday, the 35-year-old ex-Bachelorette star opened up about the couple’s diagnosis on Instagram, sharing that, while trying to quarantine before the holidays, they let a friend visit.

“We thought we were making a responsible decision to receive ONE person, who had been tested daily for work,” Bristowe wrote in his caption, adding that the anonymous friend tested positive the day after the hangout.

“Now, like many, we are going to spend Christmas alone,” he added. “We just want everyone to know that we think we were safe, but greed is greater than us.”

Tartick, 32, also shared a video on Thursday, noting that he started experiencing symptoms on Wednesday, which included body aches, a fever of 103.1 and a “puddle of sweat when you are sleeping”.

“Shame on you, we didn’t follow the plan,” he said of the couple’s decision to invite a friend. “You can’t think about that horrible virus, lesson learned.”

Bristowe reminded his followers that you “can never be too careful,” and her boyfriend reiterated, “Lesson learned and let’s go to war here.”

The couple sent their best wishes to health professionals and others, who can also be separated from their families during the holidays.

Several people from Bachelor Nation sent words of encouragement to the couple, including Nick Viall, the runner-up for Bristowe’s “bachelorette” season in 2015.

“Get well soon!” Viall commented.

Presenter Chris Harrison replied to Tartick’s post, “Get better, brother. I love you.”
