Kacey Musgraves trolls the Ted Cruz Cancún scandal with a t-shirt

Proud Texan country singer Kacey Musgraves is selling new products that benefit the residents of her home state – and ruthlessly chasing Ted Cruz.

The latest product on sale on the artist’s website “Golden Hour” is a simple black and white T-shirt that says, “Cruzin ‘for a Bruzin’” – a clear criticism of the Texas senator, who was attacked this week for traveling to Cancún, Mexico, with his family as a deadly winter storm ravaged the state.

Costing $ 29.99, the unisex zinger recipe for a ringer t-shirt will be donated to various organizations that provide help to Texans affected by extremely cold temperatures, prolonged power outages and water shortages that plague Lone Star for several days .

The anti-Cruz shirt will be available for purchase until Sunday, with funds raised for Feed the People Dallas, Casa Marianella and the American Red Cross of Central and South Texas.

“No bruises, please,” says the product description, while Musgraves launched a “Petition to @tedcruz retweet” a link to the item and announced on Twitter that he was “halfway to raising $ 100,000 for Texas”.

“Texas is cold, I can be cold,” Musgraves tweeted when revealing his newest product, playing a lyric from his song “Slow Burn”.

Musgraves is just one of several celebrities who recently made fun of Cruz after the politician and his family were caught boarding a plane on Wednesday to Cancun for a stay at a luxury resort while Texas was in crisis. Cruz said he was just escorting his daughters to their destination and planned to return home immediately. Upon returning on Thursday, Cruz said his family trip was “obviously a mistake”.

Other entertainment figures who condemned Cruz include Trevor Noah, Billy Eichner, Padma Lakshmi, George Takei, Roxane Gay and Seth Rogen, who has been involved in several social media discussions with the legislator in the past.
