Whether they are realistic or not. . .and smart money is in the “no”. . The rumors about the Cousins Kirk trade are circulating around. Since there was not much other news about the Minnesota Vikings up to this point in the off-season, I suppose something needs to be the topic of conversation.
One guy you can apparently put firmly in the Cousins field is the (hopefully) offensive rookie of the year, wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Jefferson was on the Jim Rome show on Wednesday, and he said he doesn’t understand why # 8 gets so much attention (among other topics).
“He definitely can handle a lot of heat. He can take more heat than he really deserves. “
It is not surprising to hear from Jefferson. . .after, does anyone think he would be on the short list of offensive rookie of the year with Sean Mannion as a defender?
I do not.
Jefferson likes his quarterback. This is a sufficient endorsement for me.
