The film was released in selected theaters on February 26 and was made available on the streaming service on Friday.

Holland, known for his role as Spider-Man / Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portrays an Army doctor who develops a drug addiction and struggles with PTSD when he returns home after serving.

“Cherry” is based on a semi-autobiographical novel written by Nico Walker and released in 2018.

Bieber’s support for the 24-year-old was not very leftist, considering that he and the Netherlands are fans of each other and expressed their mutual admiration during a live stream from Instagram in March 2020.

Bieber’s decision to watch a film instead of the Grammy came months after the nominees were announced. At the time, he expressed confusion about nods in the pop categories, rather than the R&B categories.

He received four nominations in total: best pop solo performance (for “Yummy”), best pop duo / group performance (for “Intentions” with Quavo), best vocal pop album and best country duo / group performance (for Dan + Shay “10,000 hours”, in which he is featured).

At the time of publishing this article, Bieber won a Grammy for his collaboration with Dan + Shay.

“Please don’t confuse this as being ungrateful, these are just my thoughts, take it or leave it,” Bieber put the caption on his shared Instagram post in November 2020. “Thanks to the people who fought for me to have a nominee. “

Addressing the Grammy in his post, the Canadian singer said: “I am flattered to be recognized and appreciated for my art. I am very meticulous and intentional with my music.”

Bieber, who rose to fame with pop songs like “Baby” and “One Time”, said the 2020 release “was and is an R&B album”.

He continued: “It is not being recognized as an R&B album, which is very strange for me. I grew up admiring R&B music and wanted to do a project that would incorporate that sound.”

The singer added that sonically, his sixth studio album was closer to R&B than pop.

“Not being placed in this category seems strange, considering everything from the chords to the melodies and the vocal style, to the hip hop drums that were chosen, it is undeniably, unmistakably an R&B album!” He wrote.

Bieber concluded: “To be clear, I absolutely love pop music, it just wasn’t what I intended to do this time. My gratitude for feeling respected for my work remains and I am honored to be nominated anyway.”
