One new Zack Snyder’s Justice League teaser released on Twitch offers new glimpses of Darkseid, Joker Leto’s Joker and Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke. Darkseid’s voice resonates throughout the video, provided by Ray Porter. Deathstroke appears in what appears to be Batman’s Knightmare scene, suggesting the partnership between the mercenary and the Dark Knight promised by director Zack Snyder. “Joe’s character in this movie, when we met him, clearly he and Batman made some kind of deal and they have a little bit of a partnership,” said Snyder during a spotlight panel that was part of the IGN Fan Fest. “There is a bigger enemy, I think.”
The biggest enemy is Darkseid, ruler of Apokolips. Snyder explained earlier that conversations with Porter helped him develop his plans for the DC Comics villain in the film.
“If you said to any of the actors in the movie ‘well, what happens in the movie’ or ‘what happens next’ or whatever it is for any movie. And they go ‘well, I got the script and it’s cool and I kind of know that and so [Ray Porter] and I was talking about it and what’s cool or what’s the right answer to some questions, “said Snyder.” It’s a fair question to ask me, like what do I tell the world about, you know, what happens when Darkseid comes to Earth? So what? Do you know, is that a thing? And I think, listen, the truth is that I wrote and had and conceived a complete- I know what happens when Darkseid … yes. I know what happens. To say and speculate about what this is and what would be exciting, I think it is a good thing. “
At the Zack Snyder’s Justice League, determined to ensure that Superman’s final sacrifice (Henry Cavill) was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) teams up with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from a threat of catastrophic proportions approaching.
