Justice League ‘Snyder cut’ accidentally released on HBO Max | Justice League

The long-awaited “Snyder cut” of the superhero movie Justice League was accidentally released on the streaming service HBO Max on Monday, before being removed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, customers who were trying to access Tom and Jerry’s new film found that, instead, the service played Zack Snyder’s Justice League, due out on March 19. A user reported on social networks that more than an hour of the film (which has an official duration of 242 minutes) was shown.

The new version was created after a fan campaign that began after the release of the original film in 2017, to unimpressed reviews. He starred Ben Affleck as Batman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, who teamed up to fight the steppe supervillain.

Snyder, the credited director of the film, left the project in May 2017 during post-production, following the death of his daughter. Joss Whedon, who co-wrote the script for the film and directed the Marvel superhero films, The Avengers and The Avengers: Age of Ultron, took over and reportedly did several reshoots.

After the film was removed from HBO Max, removal notices were reportedly sent to social media users who posted screenshots of the film.
