Justice League 2 and 3 would have the proper titles, says Zack Snyder

Zack Snyder’s vision originally included Justice League 2 and 3 sequences, which the director now revealed would have different titles.

The two strings canceled Justice League 2 and Justice League 3 it would have adequate titles, instead of numbers, according to Zack Snyder himself. Speech about Snyder’s abandoned plans for the DC Extended Universe rekindled following the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max – a version of the director that was received much more positively than the original film. Unfortunately, it is still unlikely that any additional DC films directed by Snyder will be made.

When Snyder was brought in as the creative leader at DCEU, he had a five-film plan: a story, centered on Superman, that would cover Steel man, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and two additional films. Due to the first Justice LeagueWith the poor reception of 2017, this project was rejected in favor of a less centralized model, focused on solo films like Shazam! and Wonder Woman 1984. Warner Bros. has made no public efforts since Snyder’s departure from the franchise to resume production of major crossover films.

As Snyder’s cut continues to receive praise, interest in Snyder’s intention Justice League sequelae increased again. In a recent interview with MTV News, Snyder revealed that he had different titles in mind for the films not made and that they would not have been called Justice League 2 and Justice League 3. Snyder explained that several options were considered:

There is probably a title page that I tried. But yes, it probably wouldn’t be ‘Justice League 2 and 3’, which I can tell you.

Snyder spoke at length about his story ideas for the canceled films. Justice League 2 it would have been defined mainly in the Knightmare universe – a post-apocalyptic future where Lois Lane’s death allowed Darkseid to manipulate Superman, causing him to become an evil tyrant and devastate the Earth. This timeline is briefly shown in the Snyder Cut epilogue, where a disorganized team of Batman, Cyborg, Flash, Mera, Deathstroke and even Jared Leto’s Joker are seen fighting Superman’s oppressive regime.

Despite Snyder Cut’s relatively positive and popular reception, the chances of him being hired to make more DCEU films are high. Snyder himself made it clear that these decisions do not depend on him and that, at the moment, the best thing to do may be simply to appreciate that his finished film has been released. Still, there is a chance that more will come in the future. The fans managed to do Zack Snyder’s Justice League a reality, and they could help do the same with Justice League 2 and even Justice League 3.
