It’s been a spell since we last heard of them, but the Street Fighter 5 outfits from last year’s costume contest are finally on their way to the game. We received our two winners in September 2020, and Capcom has already shown what they will look like in the game and has given us a release date.
Although fans had lots of ideas for all the members of the Street Fighter 5 list, the winners ended up being Steven “JnXC” La and “Gar”, who created new outfits for Juri.
Capcom announced today via Twitter that these two new looks will arrive in just three days on Thursday, March 18th.
Not only did they share some new photos of the costumes in the game (previously we only saw them in the form of conceptual art), but they were also kind enough to add an alternative color to each of the DLC uniforms.
JnXC’s jury wears a red Shadalloo cap and some tattered clothes similar to some looks we’ve seen in M. Bison in the past, but with her hair down and her white shirt, she looks comfortable enough and ready for a fight.
Gar’s Juri has longer robes, like threads, that come with some kanji and spider web designs. Juri’s hair is tied in a single long ponytail with a nice highlight streak for a little extra personality. Let’s point out the fact that she is wearing a choker and the fact that it fits her personality perfectly and needs no explanation.
Alternative costumes in Street Fighter 5 generally cost $ 3.99 and this is the price we suspect will come, although Capcom Pro Tour special clothing has cost a few dollars in the past, $ 5.99. Those who purchase the Season 5 Premium Pass will have access to them along with 24 other costumes that will fall throughout the season.
