Jujutsu Kaisen Translator arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography

According to a new crime report, a translator from Kaisen Jujutsu was arrested on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography. Stefaan Koza was arrested by the Herndon police department in Virginia. The 33-year-old suspect is being charged with five counts of possession and five of distribution.

Currently, Koza is. held without bail at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. The police said they made the arrest in conjunction with the Internet Crimes Task Force on Children. Koza is due to go through his hearing in early March 2021.

Koza is best known as a manga translator within the fandom, and he also uses pseudonyms like Steady and Steady Studios for his online projects. Koza recently started translating Kaisen Jujutsu for Viz Media, but the suspect also does English translations of other titles like Tokyo Shinobi Squad, we never learned, and more.

At this time, Viz Media has not commented on the situation.

For fans of Kaisen Jujutsu, this update is a surprise, but creator Gege Akutami has absolutely no part in this ordeal. The Japanese creator is totally removed from the translation efforts of his manga. Akutami started publishing Kaisen Jujutsu in March 2018, and its popularity exploded with the release of its anime. The first season of the program ended its debut arc and will begin to adapt the second season according to the new year.
