Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will apparently remain in Pittsburgh. The receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster hopes that his future there is also guaranteed.
Smith-Schuster recently told TMZ.com that he hopes to stay with the Steelers for the rest of his career.
Asked if he could see himself with a different shirt next season, Smith-Schuster told TMZ.com: “Not now. Until I’m really released, other than that, I’m Pittsburgh for the rest of my life. “
For Smith-Schuster, the question is whether it would take him less to stay in Pittsburgh than to play elsewhere – assuming the Steelers want to continue the relationship. Considering its other recipients and their ability to continue to find more of them in the draft, the team may be ready to move on.
