JoJo Siwa is sharing more about his personal life after becoming a member of the LGBTQ + community last month on social media.
The 17-year-old artist was a guest in The Tonight Show on Wednesday, February 3, where she told the host Jimmy Fallon that she is currently in a long-distance relationship with “the most amazing, wonderful, perfect and most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world.” The star did not identify his partner by name.
JoJo started by explaining the origin of the TikTok video that was posted on January 20 and featured his voice acting on the line “Now you’re one of us” from Paramore“Ain’t It Fun” of the song. Members of Pride House, a collective of LGBTQ + TikTok creators, accompany her in the clip that sparked speculation that this could be JoJo’s way of speaking out.
“They came, and we were doing a TikTok, and I thought, I think this TikTok that we’re doing for ‘It’s not fun’, I think it will drive me out of my mind,” she said. “And I thought, I really don’t care because it’s true, I have the most amazing, wonderful, perfect and most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world. It’s not something I’m ashamed of, I just haven’t shown it on the Internet yet. And there has always been speculation, of course, but I was like, I think that will make me clear. “

For sure, fans quickly had doubts about the meaning behind the video, so she decided to have some fun before confirming that she was really coming out. In the following days, she posted a TikTok from her dance to Lady Gaga“Born This Way”, followed by a photo that JoJo had taken a week before herself wearing a T-shirt with the “Best Gay Cousin Ever”.
It was while JoJo was talking on the phone with his girlfriend that the two decided that she should post the picture of the shirt, and even the star’s aide did not know in advance that this would happen.
“We both thought, ‘Technically, I haven’t confirmed it yet'”, Dance Moms alum recalled about the conversation with his girlfriend. “And then I thought, ‘I just want to post this picture in my Reels story’, and it was really encouraging. She said, ‘Do this!’ And I said, ‘Okay,’ and I did that. “
JoJo said that two days after sharing this photo, she was telling her girlfriend over the phone that she was beginning to understand how potentially risky this moment could have been for her career.

That’s not what I want if I can’t love who I want to love. That’s one of the most important things for me. “
She added that she was crying tears of joy just 10 minutes before appearing at the The Tonight Show. “I am very happy because now I can share what makes me the happiest with the world, and it makes my heart very happy,” explained JoJo.
The star revealed that he is currently in Vancouver to film a Nickelodeon musical called The J Show that will focus on your life and the idea of staying true to yourself. The soundtrack will feature six original songs, along with two of his previously recorded songs.
