JoJo Siwa Condemns Nickelodeon Game for ‘Raw’ and ‘Inappropriate’ Content

YouTube personality JoJo Siwa condemned Nickelodeon for using his image to promote a children’s board game with inappropriate and sexual content.

Nickelodeon released a board game JoJo Siwa that was recently criticized for its adult content. The YouTube star is now condemning the company for using its image to promote an “inappropriate” children’s game.

“Over the weekend, my fans and followers on TikTok caught my attention that my name and image were used to promote this board game with really inappropriate content,” Siwa told his fans on Instagram. “Now, when companies make these games, they don’t control every aspect for me, so I had no idea what kinds of questions were on those playing cards.”

The Nickelodeon brand board game is called JuJo’s Juice, and it’s a trivia game that includes cards from four different categories: Truth or Dare, 2 Truths and a Lie, Who Knows Jojo Better? and never Jojo Ever !. It is recommended for children from six years old, but some of the issues listed on the cards have been questioned due to inappropriate, adult and sexual content. Some of the questions that were asked include: Have you ever stepped on someone naked or has someone entered you? Who in this room would you most like to date? Have you ever been arrested?

“When I first saw this, I was very, very, very upset at how disgusting these questions were, so I immediately caught Nickelodeon’s attention,” said Siwa in his Instagram video. “And since then, they have been working to stop this game from being made and also to be removed from all shelves wherever it is sold.”

JoJo Siwa thanked the fans for bringing her attention to the game and assured that she is doing everything she can to remove the game from the stores. “I hope everyone knows that I would never have approved or agreed to be associated with this game if I had seen these cards before they started selling it,” she told her Instagram viewers. “I love you all so much. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, so that I could put an end to it and fix it right away.”

“We respect and value the relationship that JoJo Siwa has with his fans and take the concerns raised about the game JuJo’s Juice very seriously, “Nickelodeon and Spin Master Games, the manufacturers behind JuJo’s Juice, said in a joint statement to USA Today. “This game is no longer being manufactured and we ask retailers to remove any remaining products from their shelves.”

JoJo Siwa is a dancer, singer and personality on YouTube. She signed a contract with Nickelodeon in 2017 and starred in the 2018 series, The Jojo and BowBow Show Show. JoJo also appeared on other children’s programs, including Bizaardvark and The Thundermans and in two seasons Dance Moms.
