Johnny Manziel, who was already eliminated in the first round in the NFL, recently made his debut in the new Fan Controlled League – a 7-on-7 league played on a 50-yard field where fans have information about the game and uniforms, among other things .
Manziel, a former Heisman Trophy winner, played for the Zappers in a 48-44 loss on Saturday. He completed just 1 of 5 11-yard passes while running 67 yards in eight runs with a touchdown.

“It looks like I’m super defeated, but I still had a lot of fun,” said Manziel. “That was what I had the most fun with in a while.”

The Fan Controlled Football League has four teams and will have games every Saturday for six weeks. The games will continue to be broadcast on Twitch at 8 pm and 9 pm ET.
Manziel made his first appearance in a game since 2019. He was part of the Alliance of American Football, but the league closed in the middle of the season. He is excited to continue his journey at FCF and is optimistic that he will continue to improve over time.
