John Stamos is keeping his distance from his family after being exposed to COVID-19 for the third time.

“My son went to bed last night crying and woke up crying because he can’t be with his father”, Fuller House Star tweeted on Friday. “I was exposed to the virus for the 3rd time and I have to isolate it again for another 10 days!”

The 57-year-old man, who shares a two-year-old son named Billy with his wife Caitlin McHugh Stamos, 34, hinted that he was exposed to the virus while at work, although the specific project is unclear. “I feel that my job is to do everything possible to keep us safe,” he wrote in another tweet. Stamos also asked his followers to comply with health guidelines. “People, please follow the rules,” he wrote. “Your actions affect far more lives than just your own.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Stamos is doing everything right by staying away from his family. The CDC recommends that anyone who has been in close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 should be quarantined for 14 days, however, the organization also states that “the quarantine can end after the 10th day without testing and if no symptoms have been reported during daily monitoring. ”Although children are less likely to develop serious illnesses than adults, the organization notes, they are still at risk of infection.

Fortunately, Stamos has many memories to keep you warm – the You stars often post on social media about home life. “Thankful for my healthy family. That I am privileged to work now, ”he wrote in a January 14 Instagram post. “Thank you for still loving our country and I look forward to a new year.”
