John Legend sings Nina Simone in chic attire at the opening concert – Footwear News

John Legend did a powerful cover of Nina Simone’s poignant classic, “Feeling Good”, at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial steps in Washington, DC, for Inauguration Day. The Grammy-winning artist wore an elegant beige coat over a turtleneck for the special Celebrating America TV in honor of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris this evening.

The father of two children of 42, who brought his family along with all the excitement, he also performed for Joe Biden at a rally in Philadelphia the day before voters arrived at the polls on November 3. Before his performance at the Capitol tonight, Legend took some pictures in front of the Lincoln Memorial with his wife Chrissy Teigen and children Luna, 4 and Miles, 2.

In the photos, he was seen wearing a pair of thick brown boots to tie along with navy pants and a thick black scarf. Meanwhile, Teigen wore an impressive red double-breasted coat, courtesy of Proenza Schouler, with red mesh Bottega Veneta sandals with an exaggerated square toe design. The 35-year-old model is still complemented by a polished black bag with a shape inspired by the 1960s handbags.

As for the children, Luna was dressed in a white coat with matching pantyhose and brown high boots, while Miles wore a navy blue coat, black pants and gold metallic sneakers.

In addition to Legend, Tim McGraw, Bruce Springsteen, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons, Tyler Hubbard of the Florida Georgia Line and Foo Fighters performed at the concert.
