Another case of Instagram versus reality.
Joe Giudice’s dinner with his ex-wife, Teresa Giudice, and her new boyfriend, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, was not as smooth as it looked in his photo-op on social media.
“You can imagine how I felt when they entered the room,” Joe, 48, told Us Weekly on Thursday. “It was weird to see my ex after a lifetime with someone else.”
A video posted online showed the nice ex-girlfriends having dinner at the Graycliff Restaurant in the Bahamas earlier this week with their four daughters – Gia, 20, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11 – as well as Ruelas, 46, who they sat down next to Teresa.
“Teresa and I decided to be honest and remain friends with the girls,” Joe told the outlet. “Fatherhood must always give your children the best results for each situation. I believe that we all deserve to be happy and our children will thank us for that. “
He added: “I am genuinely happy for Teresa and Luis and I wish them all the best!”
The businessman, who was deported to Italy in 2019 after serving a prison sentence for fraud, also changed his relationship.
In December, Joe posted the first photo with his girlfriend, lawyer Daniela Fittipaldi, on Instagram. Teresa, 48, seemed to support her ex-husband’s romance, commenting on the post with red-heart emojis.
In November, we reported exclusively that the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star was dating Ruelas, a New Jersey businessman.
She and Joe finalized their divorce in September, after 21 years of marriage.
