This sale could be a defeat for Fox sports announcer Joe Buck, who appears to have found a buyer for his home in St. Louis just a week after putting it up for sale.
The 51-year-old basic football and baseball player shared this honeymoon with his wife, fellow sports announcer Michelle Beisner-Buck, for nearly seven years. Now, his $ 3.3 million list has a pending buyer – which could mean a profit of $ 2.5 million for the familiar voice of the NFL and MLB, according to Realtor.com property records.
The house, which he bought with Beisner during the engagement, according to a 2016 St. Louis Magazine article, has a double gable exterior with two triangular peaks on the face of the house. Tall windows with black lines and a glass window define the facade, while two attics emerge from the gray and red roof, listing the photos.
“It is difficult to find a luxurious home with a touch of ‘ranch’, which provides an open floor plan and a sitting area on the main floor,” agent Megan Rowe told Realtor.com.
The covered arched entrance opens through dark wooden doors to a modest entrance with chandeliers and tiles.
On the right, the office has a sloping roof and built-in bookcases full of soccer balls, awards and sporting memorabilia from the couple’s work – including Buck’s six Emmy awards.
Likewise, the basement is full of memories, including a # 99 Wayne Gretzky shirt, a # 29 John Smoltz baseball shirt, Budweiser neon signs, football helmets and framed sports photos.
The basement also has a wet bar and a wine cellar with a capacity for around 1,000 bottles. In addition, two gyms have space for several pieces of heavy machinery and a complete set of weights, according to the photos in the list.
The most impressive room in the house is a steep room with a sunroof and glass doors. The floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and wooden floors complement a wrought-iron chandelier and rustic wooden furniture creates a “casual, yet elegant, chic aesthetic,” Beisner told St. Louis magazine in 2016.
French doors to the family room open onto a 6-acre, fenced, sloping lawn. The farm has a playground, swimming pool, built-in barbecue and a cabin adorned with stone walls, fireplace, television, wrought iron chandelier, wooden beams and steep roof.
Stone countertops and a tan tile backsplash line the kitchen with a large island, hanging lamps and a pantry. And the 340 square foot owner’s suite was built for two, with two closets and a huge bathroom with double sinks.
The house built in 1959 was decorated with locally sourced materials by interior designer Sandra Long, according to St. Louis Magazine.
“When people come into the house, I want them to feel that they can actually sit down and not just look at the furniture,” she told the magazine. “I didn’t want a concert hall.”
It is not clear from the property records when the couple bought the house or for how much, but it was listed by its previous owner for less than $ 800,000 in 2012. It is also not clear why the couple is now leaving their first home together, and property records show no purchase of Buck’s new home. The sale comes as Buck criticizes the “clickbait headlines” about him drinking tequila with Troy Aikman while calling games.
They shared the house with their two twin sons, who are now almost 3, and their dog Finley. Buck also has two children – Natalie, 24, and Trudy, 21 – with his ex-wife, Ann Archambault, 49.
Megan Rowe and Buck Brooks of Dielmann Sotheby’s International Realty are on the list.
