Joe Biden’s family is still profiting from the name

President Joe Biden’s speech “should not be used in connection with any commercial activities to suggest, or in any way that can reasonably be [be] understood as implying, your endorsement or support ”: So a White House official told the press last month. But it appears that some Bidens did not receive the memo.

Biden’s brothers, Jim and Frank, have been negotiating the family name for decades, with son Hunter joining him more recently – profiting from his supposed ability to get favors from Joe. And it didn’t stop.

Frank Biden appeared in an ad for a Florida law firm – on the day of his inauguration, no less – using the president’s name to draw attention to the Berman Law Group’s class action against sugarcane growers: “ The two Biden brothers have long been committed to pushing environmental issues to the forefront, ”said the ad pointedly.

And Hunter’s newest venture is a memoir about his fight against addiction, “Beautiful Things”, which will be released on April 6. The president is painting this as a personal triumph for his son – “My boy is back,” he shouted at CBS Donnell’s ‘Nora O’ – but some publisher would publish this memoir (and supposedly pay a lot of money for it) if Hunter’s father wasn’t president?
