A24 and the filmmaker worked together on the feature films ‘Hereditário’ and ‘Midsommar’.
Ari Aster defined his last project in A24, with Joaquin Phoenix defined as a star.
Aster wrote and will direct Disappointment Blvd., which is described as an “intimate portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time”, spanning decades. All other details of the plot are being kept confidential.
Aster will produce with Lars Knudsen under the banner of Square Peg, along with A24, who worked with Aster on his feature film. Hereditary and Midsommar.
Phoenix recently won an Oscar for his role in Joker, and will be seen soon in Mike Mills’ A24 movie C’mon C’mon. He must also return to work with Ridley Scott in Kitbag, a biographical film by Napoleon Bonaparte at Apple.
