Texas quarterback Deshaun Watson reportedly asked to be traded in Houston, and JJ Watt, the NFL’s three-time defensive player of the year, appears to be right behind him.
According NFL Network, the Texans’ decision on Watt is “coming”, despite having a year left on his current contract. Watt will turn 32 next season and he is not the dominant force before, but he can definitely join a winning organization and make an immediate impact.

During the 2020 NFL season, Watt publicly expressed his frustrations with former coach Bill O’Brien, as well as with the organization as a whole. After the last game of the Houston season – which resulted in a defeat for the Tennessee Titans – Watt apologized to Watson for wasting another year of his excellence.

“Good job, brother. I’m sorry,” said Watt to Watson. “I’m sorry. We lost one of your years. I’m sorry. I mean, we should have 11 wins. We should.”
Other NFL network report said Watt played his last game with the Texans, and people in the organization said that was the atmosphere in the locker room after the defeat at the end of the season.

Watt played 16 games last season and came out with 52 tackles in total, five sacks, seven saved passes and an interception that was returned for a touchdown. For his career, Watt has 101 sacks, 25 forced fumbles, 16 fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
