Comedian and nightly television host Jimmy Fallon listed his coverage in New York for $ 15 million, according to an email from the stockbroker.
Located at 34 Gramercy Park East in the Tony district of Gramercy Park in Manhattan, the nearly 5,000 square foot span is a combination of four three-story apartments. It fits six bedrooms and five full bathrooms.
The Wall Street Journal broke the news on Thursday, reporting that Fallon, 46, bought his first unit – a single bedroom apartment – for $ 850,000 in 2002. The end result, which he shares with his producer wife Nancy Juvonen, 53, was set up apartment by apartment for more than a decade.
Fallon’s first apartment is located on the seventh floor of the historic cooperative building. In 2004, Fallon spent $ 1.5 million on a unit at the same level and combined it with a quarter. In 2010, he disbursed $ 1.35 million for a unit on the eighth floor. Then, in 2014, he got a four bedroom for $ 1.35 million and a studio for $ 725,000, both located on the top floor of the building. Records from the 2014 Department of Buildings show, as The Post reported in 2016, that Fallon planned to combine four of these five units into a triplex, but the studio was to be kept out and, according to previously published reports, used as an office.
The house opens to a lobby on the seventh floor, which has a side living room. Also on this floor: a kitchen facing west and overlooking the notoriously private Gramercy Park. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a home office and a laundry are also on this level.
A custom-designed ladder joins the three levels – and below it is a children’s playroom with monkey bars and a chalkboard wall for the couple’s daughters, Frances Cole, 6, and Winnie Rose, 7 . The apartment is eclectic and colorful in appearance, supposedly full of cubicles, narrow corridors and secret passageways. Almost all the walls are decorated with vintage wallpaper and art.
On the eighth floor, the couple maintains a “Saloon Room” – an entertainment area that includes a vintage barback with custom built-in stained glass, as well as a gas fireplace with a stone fireplace. There is also a home gym located on this level.
The ninth floor houses the master suite, which receives natural light through newly installed skylights. This retreat has its own gas fireplace, a bar with a refrigerator, a built-in massage bed and a steam bath. Still on the ninth floor, two more bedrooms, a second playroom and another laundry room.
