Jimmy Fallon gets the smallest audience for ‘Tonight’

Jimmy Fallon got a bad rating at the screening of “The Tonight Show” on Monday.

The comedian had the lowest average television audience ever for an original episode of the evening show, according to Nielsen’s first ratings – reaching 947,000 viewers on Monday night.

One of Fallon’s competing shows, Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” on CBS, took the cake on Monday night, attracting just over 2 million viewers, according to Nielsen Live and Same Day national fast numbers , reported by The Wrap.

Second came “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” ABC! with 1.67 million viewers in total.

If the early night fans had switched to Kimmel on ABC, they would have seen “This Is Us” star Milo Ventimiglia and Jake Tapper with Queen Naija as a musical guest.

A Tonight Show representative did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment.
