Jim Boeheim on Syracuse’s NCAA tournament profile: ‘I think we’ve done a lot’

Syracuse, NY – After his team reinforced his case for an NCAA tournament bid with a 64-54 victory over Clemson on Wednesday, Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim seized the opportunity at his post- game to expose the case of your team.

The victory over Clemson, plus Orange’s victory over North Carolina on Monday, raised Orange’s hopes for the NCAA, which were delayed after last week’s road defeats at Duke and Georgia Tech.

Syracuse’s record now stands at 15-8 overall and 9-7 at ACC.

“It is difficult to go 9-7 in this league,” said Boeheim. “Very difficult.”

Syracuse must now wait until the start of next week’s ACC tournament to have his next opportunity to improve his NCAA profile. Syracuse is the only ACC team to say goodbye on the last weekend of the regular season.

Most NCAA bracket specialists have Syracuse on the verge of an NCAA offer, but still on the outside looking inward.

“I think we did a lot,” said Boeheim. “I really want. I think it will be very difficult to choose the tournament this year. I think our league is not being respected enough. That is part of it. I think we have a lot of good teams. We don’t have a great team this year. We have a lot of good teams. Many good teams. We’ll see how it all plays out in the end. ”

Boeheim’s arguments on behalf of Orange did not include bad losses and an excellent track record against teams in quadrants 2 and 3 of the NCAA.

The weak point in Syracuse’s curriculum would be the lack of victory in the first quadrant. Orange is 0-6 against teams that fall into NCAA quadrant 1.

“All I know for sure is that after today we will be 11-2 in Quad 2 and 3 games, which is very good,” said Boeheim. “We didn’t win games in Quadrant 1, but we all won in 2 and 3. We had no bad losses and we have no losses in Quadrant 4. ”

Boeheim tried to argue that he does not pay attention to the colchetologists, but his own words betrayed him, because in criticizing the mockery, he admitted that he saw them.

“I don’t look at it because I see a team that is 0-8 on the road this year and they are in the tournament or on the edge,” said Boeheim. “I don’t pay any attention to these things anymore. I see teams with lost records that are still there. I mean, this is all speculation. ”
