Although the TLC audience has seen Jill (Duggar) Dillard grow up in the home of her famous family, she admitted that she has not entered the Arkansas residence in years.
The old one Counting on star, 29, made the revelation in a question and answer video with husband Derick Dillard that was shared on her YouTube channel on Monday.
When asked if they had ever visited their parents’ home Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar – nicknamed “the big house” – today, Jill replied, “We haven’t been there in a while, probably about two years, except once. . to check the email. “
Jill went on to explain that the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to keep their social circle small, but also “at this time in life, we have to prioritize our mental and emotional health”.
“Our limit – we like to call it – is a little lower this season of life for us,” she continued, saying that she and Derick, 32, have “a lot going on for us in our own lives”.
“There are a lot of triggers there,” added Derick.

Jill married Derick in June 2014 and, in recent years, has been openly talking about therapy, drinking alcohol, using contraception and sex – a departure from her highly religious and ultra-conservative upbringing.

She was a prominent figure in TLC’s 19 children and counting from 2008 until its cancellation in 2015 and started to star in its subsequent spinoff Counting on, but left the series in 2017.
Last year, the mother of two – who shares Israel David, 5, and Samuel Scott, 3, with Derick – revealed on her YouTube channel that she has been “distancing” from the Duggar home.

“We are not getting along better with some members of my family. We have had some disagreements, but we are working towards definitive healing and restoration, but we are just taking some time and healing,” she shared, adding that although it “difficult”, she hopes there may be a solution.
“We are doing what is best for our family now and just working on it, I think,” Jill continued. “We are praying and trusting God that the timeline will be his and what it looks like and everything.”

In October, Jill opened up to PEOPLE about her tense relationship with her family, saying, “I never expected this to happen or get to this point.”
“But I am realizing that I cannot set a deadline for a cure,” she said. “I love my family and they love me. I really have to follow God’s example and live one day at a time.”
