Jessica Simpson responds to John Mayer’s sexually charged comments about her in 2010: ‘Disrespectful’

Jessica Simpson does not want an apology from her ex John Mayer.

The 40-year-old singer appeared on Friday at “Tamron Hall” and reacted to the sexually charged comments that the 43-year-old fellow singer made in an interview in 2010.

“We were kind of on, off, on, off at the time, but talking about someone sexually is disrespectful. But, I mean, that’s his fault,” she told the Emmy-winning talk show host.

Hall then asked Simpson if she felt she owed Mayer’s apology similar to how Justin Timberlake apologized for his previous treatment and comment on former Britney Spears and Janet Jackson.

The author of “Open Book” replied, “No, I mean, I definitely don’t feel that I owe a public apology. I mean, you can’t go back, you know.”

“I am a person who forgives a lot, but I am also honest. So, in the memories, if I am going to talk about things that caused me pain, I will be honest about it, and that was a moment in my life where I was very manipulated and very, too , as in love, or apparently, ”she added.

Simpson and Mayer dated intermittently from August 2006 to May 2007, after Nick Lachey’s divorce in 2006.

In a 2010 interview with Playboy, Mayer discussed in detail his previous sexual relationship. “That girl is like crack to me. Sexually it was crazy. That’s all I will say,” he said. “It was like napalm, sexual napalm. Did you ever say, ‘I want to get out of my life and just f ** king smell you? If you charged me $ 10,000 to f ** k you, I would start selling all my s * * t just to keep f ** king you. ‘”

“It is one of those things that if I were to watch, relive that for me it is like one of those triggers, you know, it definitely gives me anxiety and I, I lived,” she expressed. “And I know that Britney and I know what she went through and it’s so, it’s so hard, because there are so many people’s opinions about you just trying to live your life as a normal human being because inside we’re just, you know, we are normal, you know? We can have a big platform, but you can only take it so far, you can only, you know, allow people to come in and attack you until you really have to, you know, put your guard up. “
